Drinking at work

Politicians may have a serious problem which could be a reason why the HoC is so raucous at times.

Very worrying if their conduct is impaired.

Re: Drinking at work

Grief that takes me back. I had a boss who was great-until Friday afternoon.

He would come back after three pints and call me into his office-Stephan I`ve had this idea...........

Re: Drinking at work

I drink at work all the time....using my charm and boyish good looks, I make sure I'm supplied with plenty of cups of tea at nearly every job, I also have a bottle of water in the van too!!

Alcohol loosens your tongue and can make you say things you wouldn't normally say. It can backfire badly on you, when quoted by others later.

Re: Drinking at work

Blimey, chance would have been a fine thing. Latterly, we didn't even get an hours lunch to find a drink. It would have been instant dismissal , so maybe a good thing.

Certain establishments now give breathalysers or blood tests at random at the start of a working day.

Re: Drinking at work

Having worked with a secret drinker, it wasn't secret to anyone who knew her it's horrible. It's time hoc and hol caught up with the rest of us and had proper employment laws weed out those not doing their best for us.
