Hard Decision

As the Cancer Drs are considering giving me radio therapy I have to decide if to have it or not and wonder if anyone here has had it done. Iam not worried about the treatment being done, but the after effects.I have been told it can make me very sore and my breast to get bigger,as I had all this after removal of my lymph glands ,and still rather swollen and tender I dont fancy it getting worse. However I will be guided by the Drs

A no brainer Deylon, choose life.....

My best mate is currently having radio therapy five days per week for seven weeks to help cure his prostate cancer.
Apart from tiredness he has not noticed any other side effects thus far......Good luck Deylon.

Re: Hard Decision

Deylon I'm sorry to hear that you've been unwell
But I agree with Fox
Take the treatment.. zap the bugger

My closest friend's mother had radiotherapy after breast cancer 30 odd years ago. She suffered tiredness on the days of treatment, I remember that much, and was sore for quite a few weeks but she got to remission quickly.
She's still fighting fit and looks fantastic

All the best with everything x

My Dad had the same treatment and didn't really suffer from tiredness at all. I think it depends on the individual.

Whatever you choose Deylon, I wish you the best of luck.

Re: Hard Decision

As above - best of luck and go for it.

I had radiotherapy every day for 6 weeks. It wasn't too bad tbh.

Re: Hard Decision

I took all the treatments offered when I had breast cancer I'm still here thanks to that. For me it's a no brainer if you have things to live for.
