Get one of ebay.....far cheaper than the rip-off prices the likes of Acorn charge.

very, very easy to fit.

A guy that worked fir me bought one off ebay.
3 years old for £350.....got a man and van to collect/deliver £75
We fitted it in 2 hours.
They simply attach to the wall or staircase with screws.

They usually have u brackets either welded or bolted.
Large screws either into the wall or every 3rd or 4th step.
so including top and bottom that'd be say 5 or 6 mounting points....max.

Looking at the one I am interested in...4 supports screwed into the stair treads, good thing that we recently had new carpet fitted.
Silly prices quoted so far, £2550 new...£1550 refurbished
Another company, same stair lift as above, £1500 new....it's crazy!
