Congratulations Gravitas. Perhaps you should be called Grampitas from now on.
It is wonderful to be a grandparent - When the dust settles, I think you could realise what a privilege it is - and a great reason to spend your money. Are you going to be a "hands on" Grampitas - changing nappies, babysitting - the whole thing ?

I doubt it. Certainly my nappy changing days are over. They do say never go back. And I wouldn't want to.
As for anything else, I'll have to see what transpires. I will try to teach the baby to speak if I get the chance. But numbers and such probably won't be possible.
Any road up, people often say the greatest day of their lives was when their kids were born. I find this hard to believe, as to me it's more a relief it's over after a lengthy period of concern.

What about you lot?
Congratulations to you first of all gravitas even though you had absolutely nothing to do with the main event. Every single one of my fourteen wonderful grandkids filled me with joy on the day of their birth and continue to do so. They range in age from thirty down to two years. Make the most of the new addition to your family cos they don't stay babies for long.
