Black Widow

Did anyone watch the first episode of this 8 part Dutch Crime thriller on Channel 4 at 10pm on Wednesday?
It is about a woman whose father is a drug lord and she reluctantly takes charge of the family's smuggling business to help clear her husband's debts.
It has subtitles but l really enjoyed it!

I've just checked out the reviews and the series is part of C4's "Walter Presents" scheme where Italian TV producer Walter Iuzzolino selects foreign language dramas and comedies for the channel. "The Out-Laws" was part of this scheme and was excellent, so I'll give "Black Widow" a viewing.

Mups, l don't normally like subtitles but just watching it, is self explanatory.

I'm always playing scrabble with one eye on the TV.... sub titles is a step too far for my concentration

I don't do subtitles ....I lose the will to live....which is silly of me as I think I miss out on some good programmes.

Well, I watched the first episode and failed to be engaged by the unappealing actors and predictable plot - I went on to the second episode but after 5 minutes I decided to turn it off and clean the kitchen .....

Omah, l'm sorry you didn't like it, yet l have read other reviews likening it to The Sopranos!

Anyway, if you didn't like that, did you watch 'Paula' a new three part revenge thriller that started last Thursday on BBC2? Eeeeek, this one is really ....OMG

I don't really watch much TV, l just record new thriller series. I hate Soaps and never watch them!
