Where would you sit?

On holiday in hotel, tables of eight for a Christmas Day meal with people you don't know. First to the table, would you sit at the end or in the middle? Next to your partner or opposite? Decisions, decisions, happened to us Christmas Day!

Nearest to the exit.
I wouldn't sit at a table full of strangers.

Sometimes you don't expect to be sitting with folk you don't know but on this occasion for a gala evening this is how the restaurant was set out. For us it worked out ok because we met some lovely people but it could have been a disaster!

Re: Where would you sit?

If it were me, l would prefer to be facing the person l was with. I have found if you sit at the end of the table, you aren't so much in the throng of the conversation! Sometimes this is good but other times not so good! It depends on the company!!
