Re: Our Cockatiel Died

That is so sad AC it sounds like he was a well loved bird who enjoyed the freedom you gave him in the last year of his life.

Re: Our Cockatiel Died

Sorry to hear about your poochie, birds are loved just as much as any other pet and missed just as much. However he seems to have had a long life for a bird, and a happy one and that is what is important.

I have never owned a bird but can see that you would be just as attached as I am to my dog. I once had a Beagle named Poochy.

Re: Our Cockatiel Died

Just to say sorry. No matter what they were or how long they were in our care, our pets that leave us leave a huge hole in the heart.

So sorry AC they do leave a big hole in our lives when they go but you have to try to remember the happiness you gave them and they gave you.

Re: Our Cockatiel Died

That's right Julie, thank you. What is sad is he just started to let me touch & play with the feathers on top of his headBefore that, he never wanted to be touched.

Re: Our Cockatiel Died

Whenever we have a pet and it passes away, regardless if it is a dog, cat, bird...etc...they are missed and we grieve for them. Our dog passed away 6 years ago, we had him for 14 years, and I still miss him
