I couldn't, but then I couldn't eat a rabbit either, my daughter rescues unwanted guinea pigs and re-homes them.
If I lived in Peru I probably wouldn't think twice about it, if I was hungry.

Not by choice ...

The thing is though when your starving, you will literally eat anything.

I remember when I was a kid, going up the mountain with a gang of kids, we were loaded up with jam sandwiches and bottles of orange squash.

Our Mam had given me enough for the day but some of the other kids didn't have any so I shared.

We got in about five, it was a Sunday and dinner was on a low heat in the oven. Our Mam was stoic, I'll say that for her, the dreaded sprouts were on there and I ate every one, a feat not seen before or since.

Yep, I once eat sprouts ...

No I couldn't eat one. I am not far off being a vegetarian and can only stomach meat if I don't think what it is I am eating.

You've never eaten meat or had the joy of a bacon and egg sandwich?

As I'm getting older I'm eating less meat than I ever have but I've always got time for a slice of bacon ...

I didn't have a choice if was meat and two veg when I was a child, I never liked the texture of taste though and when I realised it was living creatures I stopped as soon as I was able.

Fair play.

I was a veggie for about a year in my late twenties, I found it very difficult, there wasn't the choices and options around then there are now.

Linda McCartney has just set up but to be honest it just wasn't that nice.

Bacon was my downfall...

Re: Could you eat a

I could never eat guinea pig meat or rabbit or anything that looks what it is, really. Steak, pork chops, bacon I can manage but I don't eat that much meat.
