I wouldn't wear fur. It looks much better on animals where it belongs.

Leather is a by-product of the meat industry.

Re: Would you wear fur ?

I wouldnt wear fur, I know animals are bred for their fur in terrible conditions. Years ago I read an article about how tigers and lions were killed so that their fur was undamaged it has stayed with me ever since, no i would never wear fur from any animal.

I think domestic cats should be used for their fur, if the are put down or die naturally, they are in abundance.

I don't see why anyone would need to wear fur here. We are not in the Antarctic and it looks silly anyway.

I like acrylic fur, I don't get this you can't tell the difference, my acrylic fur is bright pink and static as hell. despite the electric shocks I love it when it's really cold. Not been cold enough yet this winter.

Re: Would you wear fur ?

I don’t like fur and have never worn it, besides, l would be sneezing like mad!

My mother once had some rabbit fur gloves. Whilst she was at work, l gave them to the rag and bone man in exchange for a lovely yellow live chick.
My mother went berserk!

Re: Would you wear fur ?

I have no objection to the skins of animals being worn by humans as long as those skins are a by product of a vital industry, like food.

I don't wear fur and never have, I feel it is too pretentious. However...I do possess my Nans old (very old, she was born in 1900) Beaver lamb coat

I know this is "only" lambskin but I don't know whether the lambs were bred and slaughtered just for their skins. I am quite ashamed of it but I am also not sure what to do with it. So it's wrapped up in the loft.

What is the difference between lambs being slaughtered for their skins rather than meat?
