Parking Sensors

Hi

Along with many others, the shape of my car is a nightmare to park front on.

This is a cheap and simple fix.

Cost me £30 to get installed and it works.

Re: Parking Sensors

We had some fitted to our car. There are 4 sensors at the front and 4 at the back.

It cost more than £30 to get them fitted but the job was complicated by the rear bumper being hinged (ramp comes down at the back).

There's a distance display in the cab that comes on when the car is a metre away from obstacles, plus it gives audible beeps. A good improvement for us.

Re: Parking Sensors

We've never had parking sensors before getting this new car.

My wife used to park her (old) car in the garage whose opening is pretty close to the width of the car (my even older car had to reside outside). Not surprisingly, her car sported some 'go faster' scrapes along the sides!

Our new car has parking sensors and, although a couple of cm wider than the wife's old car, is easier to get into the garage and has not acquired a single scuff... yet.

I had them fitted to the rear of the car, I'm ok with the front.
I like them, they're good.

Re: Parking Sensors

I hate parking and those parking sensors are very bossy. I look for big parking spots then there are no arguments

Re: Parking Sensors

Hi

I simply cannot see the front corners of my car,so front parking is a nightmare, it is fitting inside the front bumper and extends the entire length,so no drilling holes.

I love it.

Yes. Marge and I had Mobius cameras in each of our old cars. The old cars have gone, but I relocated the cameras front and back in our new car. Fortunately, there is a 12V outlet in the boot as well as the cig lighter socket in the front. I had thought about hard wiring the front one, but it works perfectly well as it is now so I probably won't bother.
