Re: Bus Passes.

I have a bus pass and I probably use it once a week. I don't take full advantage of my bus pass.

Re: Bus Passes.

I use my bus pass regularly, in fact my friend & I are going to Totnes tomorrow & we'll use them, neither of us drive so the bus passes are very handy for going places. We are ok for buses here even though we have to walk to the bus stops, as only the Plymouth one actually stops near our houses.

I am not of retirement age yet, but I do buy a Bus Pass for £30, which last for 3 years and I use it all the time, as I don't drive.

Re: Bus Passes.

I've had a bus pass now for a couple of years, though I think I have only used it once.

The disadvantage of buses, compared to driving, is threefold:

- you must wait for a bus to arrive, especially when the service is only occasional;

- if you have a lot to carry, say the week's shopping, a car is advantageous;

- unless you live close to a bus stop, or your destination is also, driving has the advantage of door-to-door travel.

Re: Bus Passes.

We use our bus pass regularly when going into town and out of town places. We also take it with us when holidaying in this country visiting different resorts.

Re: Bus Passes.

I have a car but use my bus pass as well.

An example is if I'm going to the city. I don't like city driving and the car parking is expensive so the bus pass comes in useful then.
