Muslim Woman With Hair Covered Can Ride a Horse Shock

The media treated the news about the Muslim woman jockey as being something remarkable/wonderful was rather strange. People were supposed to be delighted by the news - some sort of blow to the "Islamophobes" perhaps? But wasn't it more of a case of the bigotry of low expectations (as Maajid Nawaz might term it)?

Even the Queen was riding horses with her hair covered by a scarf 40 years ago.

And remember that Muslim woman who won Bake Off? The fuss they made of that. Just how amazing is it that a Muslim woman can bake?

Muslim women do ride horses they show jump and play polo and just ride for fun .
Princess Haya of Jordan represented her country at the Olimpics .
Its quite a popular sport for women in Muslim countries .

Horse meat is fine by me but I wouldn't touch THAT horse let alone let any of it get even close to my mouth.

I did notice they made a very big deal of that Muslim lady who won bake off, she was on TV and still is all the time. While this link shows that other winners have gone on to do TV work I can't say I've seen any other bake off winners much at all since winning the show but this lady is always on TV even getting a couple of her own shows?

I wonder why such a fuss was made about her. Yes she's good but so are many others. I don't see it as a big deal that she won than they make it be.
