I really enjoy finding (good) covers of well know songs,

do you know of any really good ones?

It's interesting that you have both picked traditional folk songs. This is why I like finding different covers. It's always fascinating to see a different take on well know tunes.

For me I think Dolly has the edge, but I know it's not going to appeal to as large an audience as the Whitney version.

I loved Harry Nilsson's music with all of my heart.

This cover version of Lifeline by Jimmy Webb was thrilling for my ears.

I saw Jimmy some years ago performing at an old chapel in Bristol, he told quite a few stories about Harry and his love of him. He played a version of McArthur Park that was spellbinding.

Anyway, Webb covering Nilsson ...
