Solid plate electric hob

Couple of months ago we had to get a new cooker and decided to get a solid plate electric as it was easier and cheaper to buy and install. Works well but wondered if I am supposed to be doing any special cleaning to the solid hob plates ? don't want to spoil it and have so far just wiped them over with damp cloth.

I think that is all you are required to do Julie, that's all I do to mine and it is about 10 years old now and still clean.

That's different, I think, Patsy. The solid plate ones have raised solid plates, but ceramic ones are entirely flat.

For any spillages you can buy a cream cleaner which protects against staining.
