Toilet scale remover domestos or the like, paint it on leave for a couple of minutes, rinse thoroughly and buff dry. Works at work and home I find. And you have reminded me I have the 12 showers to descale tonight - I predict a long night

Ooer, I didn't know bleach dissolved limescale Julie? I always thought it just bleached it white, but it's still all there. I use the 'Duck' Limescale remover in my loo for that reason.

Bleach won't you need the toilet scale remover type, I use a domestos product called zero limescale it seems the best for the job.

The water here is dreadfully hard too and I'm so pleased I decided not to have a walk-in shower or a rigid screen.

Instead I opted for a new (metal) bath and it was not expensive

I prefer to shower but 'himself' likes to languish in warm water. He says this bath is more comfortable than my previous, caste iron one

Had one for about 3 years but sent it back, they do work but the cost of rental plus salt was more than we spent on descalers so we decided it was too expensive at the time. They take up quite a bit of space (had to put ours in the small bedroom cupboard) and you need to store the salt too.
