I was surprised to see a hoverfly keep settling on one of my Gerties fluffy toys this morning. I wondered if they are attracted by colour? It was a little lilac colour elephant she plays with.

Yes, as I understand it, hoverflies enjoy playing with lilac coloured elephant toys.

Well I suppose they must be attracted to certain colours Mups. I know sometimes when Mrs LD wears her lime green rain coat it seems to attract flying insects. I have also heard of a yellow car being covered by a swarm of bees.
