Re: Breathing Problems
Hi Deylon my Dad had late onset asthma and became very breathless.Re: Breathing Problems
Deylon look here...Re: Breathing Problems
I have COPD and asthma. I use a Ventolin inhaler for fast relief, which is actually the same as the salbutamol inhalor. I also have the Sybicort inhaler but it was increased to 2 dosesRe: Breathing Problems
I get out of breath too deylon doing the simplest of tasks, even just going upstairs now, but I take nothing for it at the moment. When I went for my chemo today the nurse arranged for me to have a CTPA scan but an oncology nurse examined me and decided it wasn’t necessary! So I just have to continue and let them know if it gets any worse.Re: Breathing Problems
This may help DeylonRe: Breathing Problems
I have had nebulisers a few times.to use for a short time at home , then theyve been taken back, as I ' dont need it any more Ive been promised a nebuliser to use at home but so far 1 hasnt arrived. Most of the Drs Ive seen wont let me have 1 at home ,because I ' may not use it as often as I should ', or ' I may use it instead of going to A&E' !. Do they think Im an imbecile? Ihave promised that if I still have problems after using the nebuliser I will ring 999,I will have to see if 1 comes. I will see what this Lung Dr says first ,then will see about buying 1 if the nhs doesnt supply 1Re: Breathing Problems
Sorry forgot to say. I avoid milk as that makes my breathing difficult. I also found certain drinks like Robinsons dilute juices would have me wheezing straight away and avoid them like the plague. I dont know if its the additives or something. I sleep with my head raised up and always on my left side never on my back. Even sleeping on my right side can sometimes cause me problems in fact I think I saw something on the internet about it being best to sleep on your left side.Re: Breathing Problems
Yes I have been shown how to use my inhaler,I also have a 'spacer' to breath through. On Monday a Dr [ not from my G.P.surgery ,but another team] is coming, she wants me to go for walks in the street before then, which I have been doing already. The problem is my S.O.B & stiff swollen painful legs, but I will perservere. Though thank goodness my ulcer has healed now,no more bandages or district nurses.Great to be able to have a proper shower now
