Can we expect, now that the Independent and Evening Standard have been forced to retract the distorted report, like some on Twitter you'll be apologising disseminating false information?

Re: MP's reject animals feel pain.

Just reading in the Telegraph an Article By Charles Moore in which he is discussing the importance of refuting Fake news like this.
He uses this quote by Edmund Burke:

“Because half a dozen grasshoppers under a fern make the field ring with their importunate chink, whilst thousands of great cattle, reposed beneath the shadow of the British oak, chew the cud and are silent, pray do not imagine that those who make the noise are the only inhabitants of the field.”

Sums it up quite nicely I think.

What’s that phrase about being ‘holier than thou?’

Where would it end if every false claim by every newspaper and politician were to be retracted ?

The point about this has little to do with the sentience of animals, but the ability of our government to over ride current EU laws.

Hi

Not all EU Laws are good.

The EU is now about to legalise an horrendous method of fishing.

It's nice to see another EU country appears to be on our side. The Irish seem to be against this method too.
