Re: The Irish Border Problem

Hi

Democracy is everything.

We voted to leave.

It is now time for the Brexiteers to deliver on their promises.

Get rid of May and let the Brexiteers take control and deliver on their promises.

No payments to the EU, they can go whistle.

Another £350 million a week to spend on ourselves and the EU will be so desperate for a deal they will come running.

A whole set of quick and easy Trade Deals with the rest of the World.

Time to get rid of May and for the Brexireers to step up and deliver.

That is what we voted for, deliver it.

Not a lot to ask is it?

Re: The Irish Border Problem

I fail to see how we lose out on democracy with a Swiss style made to measure solution.

They have a bilateral arrangement so they don't deal with all the states. They have to agree to any changes and eu influence is limited. They have a referendum on any changes.

The alternative(albania) is just crackpot. We are not Canada. The EU isn't going to disappear. They are a force to be reckoned with and anyone who thinks cheesing them off means more freedom for us is due in for a reality check.

Re: The Irish Border Problem

Hi

It is a simple ask Annie.

Deliver what we were promised.

We leave in March 2019.

We take control of our Borders then.

Unfortunately the computer systems and staff will not be in place.

It will hurt the EU more than it hurts us.

Great, get the Customs systems in place.

We have done neither, we have gone begging for a Transition Deal, whidh will cost us a fortune.

Out she goes, no more Theresa May, in come the Brexiteers to deliver on their promises.

Simples.

My biggest fear is that this shambolic mess will lead to Corbyn"s election.

Re: The Irish Border Problem

It was mentioned on the lunchtime news that if no agreement on NI can be achieved then we will have to opt for No Deal. How does that solve the Irish question? That will remain an ongoing problem

There will always be an 'Irish question' regardless of what we do.

There always has been.

Let NI become an independent nation, and let them sort it out by themselves.

Re: The Irish Border Problem

Presumably there are borders at the Easterly End of Europe?

If so, that's what we need to have as well!

If it turns out that a Hard Border is needed, with Southern Ireland, let's get on with it.

Re: The Irish Border Problem

We have a moat Ted and it seems to make no difference. Perhaps we should have a referendum about NI leaving the UK?
