Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Lovely hot sunshine here ,what a difference.
My bruises look as if I've been lashed with heavy chains and I cant turn over in the light. Went for Vit inj. and nurse had a look . She said there could well be breaks but there isn't any treatment except painkillers and rest so that's me !!!

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Another good day here, thank goodness. We have a big funeral in the village today so just a bit of tidying up before I go. Expecting visitors with a Chinese meal and bottle of wine this evening on their way to Llangollen tomorrow. Thought I'd heard somewhere that temperatures are to plummet this weekend, so make the most of it folks.

Lovely sunny day at the moment but changeable . Fire alarm got us all up at 6.30am so I cleaned my window before the sun came up.False alarm tg because there were a few macho men who wanted to be in charge and to press every button in sight lol They were quite annoyed when I overruled them and said that I had lived here for 32 years

Your fire alarm seems to go off very often Jac - will you take it seriously if it goes off in earnest?

Went shopping for our cheese and wine and racing evening to raise funds for the Church this morning. Lovely spending someone else's money - and being driven there and back. Car loaded by charming young man from Morrisons in Brecon, so no strain at all!

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

hectic day with the grandsons. Went to Talgarth to pay bill for carpet and collected some sponsorship for race night and then toured the town collecting Air Ambulance boxes. The boys were a great help. Took them to lunch at the Garden Centre (and picked up their box too) then came home and counted all the money! Short of bank bags so lots of little lunch bags tied up for the time being. Then of course we carved the pumpkins. Mum has now removed them and all I'm fit for is a lie down in a darkened room. Will have to pull myself together as Craft Club are meeting here this evening and we'd better have a bit of tea before that.....
