Re: Have knowledge but now too old

My Dad did an apprenticeship as a church builder. He was a carpenter, bricklayer, stonemason, roofer and I don't even know what else. He forgot more than I will ever know and I was only 21 when he died. What will always stick with me is that there is nothing that I do without thinking first "what would Dad have done". I was lucky to have worked with him and learn what I did in a short time and that will never be forgotten.

We were so lucky. The knowledge is priceless.

A Ford Anglia 100e. LUXURY! I started out with a Morris Minor 1000.

Ahh the old 100e, a lovely little sidevalve engine and three speed gearbox, so simple to work on and fix, although my first car was the 105e Anglia van and really just as easy. I open the bonnet of my car these days and wouldn't know where to start....

Re: Have knowledge but now too old

My Dad is coming up to his eighties now and I find it a bit weird when he rings ME for advice. I still ask him how to do things though.
