Re: Light bulbs

I dropped my bedside lamp yesterday or the day before and couldn't find any candle bulbs, so bought some today. Flipping £3 for two. Then discovered the fuse has probably gone because when I dropped it, it did blow the bulb. And of course I don't have any 3amp fuses indoors, do I??

I did try to stock pile the old bulbs and probably only have one or two left.

Re: Light bulbs

Bazza, I know I get easily confused, but why have you started two threads on light bulbs?

Re: Light bulbs

Those light bulbs will soon become extinct Realspeed. LED bulbs use less power, achieve full brightness straight away, last ten times longer than conventional bulbs and don't get hot. I'm gradually replacing all my house lighting with them....

Re: Light bulbs

They don't last ten times longer, but they cost ten times as much.

More government interference in the lives of it's citizens.
We can't but incandescent light bulbs but we can have a monstrous air conditioning system. How much sense does that make ?
I best shut up, lest someone gets the idea to ban A/C.

And you can get them as dimmable too.
The best bulbs since someone said 'Let there be light'.

Re: Light bulbs

I toyed with the idea of buying a programmable, all singing all dancing 'changing colour' bulb for the lounge! Comes with a remote control, that has buttons for the colour of choice. Sell in Wilkos.

Well, I've got everything else, so why not one of these? LOL.

One to go on the personal Christmas gift to oneself, maybe? (See Carol's thread)

(Stupid auto correct on the ipad! Done it. Thanks Ploppy, for pointing it out.)
