So much for Austerity

The scumbag 'nasty party' are starving public sector finances in order, so they say, to save money and pay back some of the borrowing made in previous years. Oh yeah??? So despite this vicious austerity, how come Hammond has had to borrow a further £2Bn???

It's quite a contradiction in terms to complain about austerity then complain in the same breath about government borrowing to maintain public finances, having cake and eating it comes to mind...

Would you prefer the austerity required without government borrowing? Obviously maths and economics isn't your strong point...

Hammond's mealy mouthed statement that we can't afford a larger increase in public sector pay whilst at the same time increasing Government borrowing to pay, amongst other things an 18% increase in MPs and Ministers pay is hypocracy of the highest order!!!

Hi

It would appear that the scumbag nasty party have a lot to learn from Labour.

Only voting themselves a 15% Pay Rise, when the Labour Council at Hartlepool voted themselves a 31% Pay Rise.

I'm quite in agreement about MP's pay, but every party voted for it as I recall, not just the conservatives?

However, that's a drop in the ocean with regard to public services and welfare, which is by far the largest beneficiary of government borrowing. To pay everyone more you will have to borrow more or cut services more. Basic mathematics....
