Afghan young woman

I read this article about an Afghan young woman who has had plastic surgery in America, after her husband cut off her nose and ears.

I agree. Barbaric. How else would you describe what has happened to her, it is within their culture to treat women like chattels, they have no more value to them than an animal.

Barbaric to say the least! How awful for her and I just hope that the scars won't interfere with her new life in the States. May she have a long and happy life there, she certainly deserves it!
