Come on mums and grannies - what do you think ?
I think I read somewhere that it cuts down on Cot deaths ,and deaths of over laying ....in the early part of 1900s didnt mothers use to keep babies in a drawer at side of their beds till they were big enough not to smother in their own beds .

If it cuts down on Baby deaths i think its a good thing ,

Ahhh .... I think I have misunderstood Dobra's post! I thought the baby box was full of goodies for the new babies .... I've never heard of a box for babies to sleep in

Re: Scottish Baby Box

They do bounty packs now.

Trouble is you have to have a baby photo taken then you are given the hard sell as they are sponsored by Bounty Portraits

Re: Scottish Baby Box

When my nieces and nephews were born my sisters and sils all got packs and that was 20 odd years ago. When grace was born they had stopped them. So it looks like an old idea coming back. Only reason they stopped from what I can find out is cow and gate sponsored them and put bottle feeding formula into them and the manic breast feeding mob didn't like that at all.
