What's the point of it ?

When will they realise just how pointless it all is - the Israelis and the Palestinians that is. "We'll stop when you stop ", "No, we'll stop when you stop". In the meantime ordinary people are suffering. Why, oh why ?

NATO want to line up 1000 rockets on either side of the border and then tell both side, the first one to fire anything into the others territory, we fire 1000 rockets at them, that may make them see sense.

There is nothing good or sensical about wars.

Do the Israelies have a right to live in Israel or not? I believe they do. Others may think differently. I believe Hamas is the ugly face of islamic fundamentalism and Israel has no alternative but to defend itself.

In this Middle East debacle, one group (Terrorists) wants to just kill....motives????but against a tiny country as Israel ( whose rep) has been known for centuries as a strong military power. Some people never learn --or don't want to....at the cost of many human lives. Peace

Let's not forget that Hamas has the awowed intent to destroy Israel, they campaigned for election on that manifesto and it is their sole raison d'etre. Their rockets have rained on Israel pretty much continuously for years with the sole intention of forcing a response which will be condemned by the rest of the world and they set up all of their organisation close to civilian areas to maximise casualties to strengthen their case. They should be careful what they wish for though, as I think Israel have been immensely restrained as yet given the level of provocation...

Maybe if the jews had been kept in Europe not "given" land belonging to other people not as many people would be trying to get THEIR land BACK.

After the theft of land from Germany after the disgraceful end of WW1 that saw land stolen from Germany and used to create Poland I suppose it was thought safer to steal land from some other non-European group at the end of WW2 in order to get the jew out of Europe.

It should be remembered that the "Occupied Territories" are not just those lands stolen by the jew after "Israel" was invented, but also the stolen land that "Israel" presently occupies.

Hamas are not terrorists, they are freedom fighters wanting nothing more than their property returned and being systematically smashed for trying to get it.

I had this feeling that mention of Jews might be what was needed to bring you back Erinaceous instead of just "lurking" around.
You are going off topic, but I think you need to go back quite a bit further than the end of WW1 to find the beginning of Poland - try 950-1000AD or thereabouts.
As for the Jews - you may not have noticed, but they are still in Europe - despite Germany's intent at mass destruction.
Also go back in history. The Israelites have a right to their land just as the Arab Nations have a right to theirs. This is historical and history as I understand it tells me this.

As for Hamas being freedom fighters - one man's freedom fighter is another man's terrorist - so rubbish, Hamas want a lot more, but I'll leave that for now.

"Poland" was vastly increased in size and czechoslovakia was created by the theft of German land at the end of WW1. The jew today has NO RIGHT to the stolen land on which the invented state of "isreal" exists. It is a part of the Ottoman Empire that the corrupt goverments broke up and shared between themselves as spoils of war.

Probably the most hypocritcal international act of the last 100 odd years was the Brit promise to the Arabs via T.E. Lawrence of a part of the Ottoman lands in return for fighting on the Brit side while at the same time Balfour was declaring Brit's support for a jew "homeland" in order to get the American jew lobby "on song" to get the US to support the Brit interests of WW1 rather than simply sell arms to all parties as they had been doing.

The "state" of "Israel" has no right to be on Palestinian land.
