I'm a big music lover, always have music playing, and make a visit here at least every other day.As for Crowded House, Neil Finn himself said it's an Australian band.

Split Enz was definitely a Kiwi band.
They changed their name from Split Ends to Split Enz when they moved to Oz in the mid 70s to signify their NZ roots.
I was in Oz when they were there, but never got to see them.

Odd though that Neil Finn says they were an Aussie band band but Split Enz were not even though he was in both bands.

I've just looked this up in my bible - The Great Rock Discography - and although Neil Finn was born in New Zealand in 1958, Crowded House were formed in Australia in 1985 making them essentially an Aussie band.
Very interesting and it's great to know this thread is educating us with some music trivia. I love pop quizzes!
