Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

I thought I'd planted a pot of small daffs and brought them onto the patio when the leaves were well up. To my surprise this morning I noticed that they are purple irises - well on their way to opening! The snowdrops are all out both sides of the road and there are crocuses on my lawn. Spring is starting to get nearer!

The family went to Cardiff Arms Park on Saturday. Youngest grandson's rugby team were to be flag bearers for the Cardiff Blues and got to play tag rugby on the pitch at half time. I have to tell you (proud Grandma) that the youngest Farmer scored a try at Cardiff Arms Park - there's a sentence I never thought I'd say

Well we are looking to be in for a storm tomorrow though not quite as bad as North Wales.

I hope your dermatology appointment at Singleton goes all right tomorrow Jac but it is not very far for you. They normally use Liquid Nitrogen to freeze those?

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Jac I recently developed a lump on my face, in an area I always take seriously as it is near the radiation area for my treatment years ago, and the GP got out a special magnifying glass he called a " Dermoscope " and said it was just a " Seborrhoeic Keratitis " which was harmless. Your dermatologist will probably use similar kit. Even if it was a Rodent Ulcer, as I was worried, they are very common and they treat them successfully with Liquid Nitrogen. I know one of the doctors in that department as I used to work in the same corridor as her in Singleton on Friday afternoons.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Finally Jac as we seem to live in a similar area, West Swansea / Gower, and also have Tesco deliveries, we seem to have a bit in common and all I was looking for from this thread was the occasional word in reply? I do go to another private area for chat. As you know I would have never been involved in this area in the first place if it were not for GAGAZone and people collecting me to the meet in Abercrave which is ancient history.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Had a lovely tea yesterday. The finger sandwiches and little cakes were delicious. We both ate the same cakes in the same order without saying anything to each other-knew we were close but that proved it!
Hope it goes well in the Dermatology department for you Jac.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

rhosyn glad you enjoyed the afternoon tea yesterday with your grand daughter. Went a few years ago with one of my friends. Jac hope all goes well today at the hospital. Raining here this morning with some sleet, staying home today as I don't need anything from the shops.
