Criminal Families.

Hi

It is a fact of life that 95% of Enforcement time and money is spent on 5% of the Population.

An example

https://www.shropshirestar.com/news/...h-town-centre/

He learnt that from his mother, she was done for bottling a landlord some years ago.

She was banned from all Pubs and shops in Ellesmere and moved to Wem.

She has 5 younger children, so has now been moved here, all at Public Expense.

The family are a nightmare, except for the youngest girl, who is lovely.

We really do need to change the system.

Re: Criminal Families.

Nature and nurture in many cases swim, so swift intervention in early life of the kids might help.

Re: Criminal Families.

I was watching police interceptors last night , the police stopped a van with 3 people driving like idiots inside was a father , young son and a female . The police arrested the father who was carrying drugs , the young son was rude and disrespectful to police , you could see that he was going to be trouble in the future just like his ignorant father , he was aged about 11 or 12 , the future generation , as the police guy said , the apple doesn't fall far from the tree .

It's at moments like that the police could make a huge difference IMO report the behaviour get someone to intervene and get that child sorted out.

A little off topic but wondering if on your side of the pond is there what is called a Young Offenders Act?

Here in Canada crimes for those under the age of 16 are treated lightly and focus on rehabilitation.

Young offenders are treated more lightly but I think we lack the rehabilitation bit, much more could be done for them.

Re: Criminal Families.

There was a huge funeral here last week, a horse drawn hearse, an aircraft flying around for half an hour towing a memorial banner and crowds lining the road. Dozens of tributes on Facebook. Not knowing who the deceased was I googled the name and it transpires the deceased had convictions for dealing Class A drugs, serving prison sentences. His son, the same name, also has similar convictions....

No doubt the proceeds of the crime paid many thousands for the overblown funeral. The cause of death was, apparently, hitting a tree with his truck. High on product samples???
