Re: Are More People Not Pronouncing The "th" Sound in Words?

I'm not too bothered about people on TV dropping their 'TH's', what winds me up more are the high pitched presenters that sound as though they have been sucking on helium.

You'll be trying to tell us next that you don't believe the prisons are full of people who are illiterate.

There are a lot but also a lot of the more educated types too. I think it rather depends on the crime they are in for, tpin will be able to say if that's right guess or not.

Hi

I have been an Enforcement Officer for most of my life.

Low level Crime is easy.

The big boys, well educated, articulate, educated, are far more likely to go free.

I just googled it. This is the first thing that came up:

"85 percent of all juveniles who interface with the juvenile court system are functionally illiterate. ..."

I'll say it again:

Wakey! Wakey!

Re: Are More People Not Pronouncing The "th" Sound in Words?

Hi

I am well acquainted with thugs and prats.

Very easy to deal with.

The problem is the big boys, rich and well connected.

They get away with things most would not.

Thirty odd years ago, a friend of mine had his daughter sexually assaulted by the son of one of the rich.

It was made perfectly clear to him that if the case was persuesd, they would drag his daughter through the crap, her previous sexual history.

I can afford a much better Solicitor than you.

His response was brilliant.

Can he stop bullets?

That sorted it out.
