Re: Some really good news

I have question if I may please sir

when fine tuning for front and back focus with say a Nikon 80-400mm lens or a 70 200 mm lens. That is using a Nikon D800/810 camera

What distance should the target be from the camera do you adjust for the minimum or maximum distance . I have seen on you tube different distances for prime lenses by lets say experts.

Spyderlenscal won't say for telephoto lenses, they ask for the question to be emailed to them individually

Re: Some really good news

AF fine tune can vary with focal length on zoom lenses so it’s alwaya going to be a compromise. There are two approaches...

1. Fine tune for the focal length you use most.
2. Take a variety of readings at several focal lengths and average them.

I hope that helps.

Yes sir, I think that is the only way one can do it taking readings and different lengths and doing an average.
Thank you

I had better get on with it before "er indoors" comes back from Brazil
