acorns yet again

That now makes about 15 industrual size plastic bags of them full enough to make them heave to lift.
Next will be leaves off the 4 huge oak trees and roof gutter clearing time.
Oh well thats life

Re: acorns yet again

Our oak is currently shedding loads of acorns the squirrels can barely get off the ground they are getting so fat , birds are having a feast too. Council come and clear them up usually just before Christmas when they do a massive clear up of autumn leaves etc. The blower thing goes all day when they do that.

I can't find any! I think our squirrels are super fast!
I made some little fir cone angels last year and used the acorn caps for their hats.

Yes I have gone nuts!

Oh yes, hedgehogs too! A little round fabric body and a bonnet with pipecleaner arms!
I have teasels, perhaps I'll do something with them instead.
I remember bleaching them for some reason

Re: acorns yet again

That is another round to me in the fight against acorns. This time two even larger bags collected together with leaves. Hopefully not that many more to come down now. that is now another 7 large plastic sack to go to the dump and only last monday took eight. Wheelie bin full as soon as it gets emptied every 3 weeks.

What fun it will be when the trees really start shedding their leaves? I don't think
