Girlfriends

Did any one see this first episode at 9pm on itv last night?
It was starring mostly wots-her-name who used to be the housekeeper in Downton Abbey? Phyllis Logan?

I shall watch the next one, next Wednesday and make up my mind then. I think I like it though.

I'm caught in a world of box sets and have not watched tv for ages. I hate to miss a good new series though. My tv does nitty record. I'm way behind

I watched it on catch up yesterday.Some well known actors in it.Surprised to see Wendy Craig in a part-she looks well,loved the series Butterflies years ago. Will keep watching it.Kay Mellor is such a clever writer.

First time I'd seen Wendy Craig in years! I recognised her instantly. She's doing well.

She played Sue's (Miranda Richardson) mum.



I have to say Miranda Richardson looks bloody good for 59.

I quite enjoyed it and will be watching next week. Some good actors in it although I thought the script was a bit limp sometimes.

This review from the Telegraph gives a brilliant synopsis and now I know who's who and what's what!
I'm a bit slow when there are so many characters and so many story lines in one episode!
