ie George 111 did not have Porphyria as has been thought but is now thought to have alternating depression and mania .
In between time ( he ruled for 60 years) he was a kindly king popular with his subjects unlike his son the Regent a reknown roue who seemed to have no empathy or interest with the problems and social state of the country.
