Re: What are you having for lunch/dinner?

Got everyone here today so stuffing a chicken with sage and onion and sausage meat, doing sainsburys ready made Yorkshire puddings, with courgettes and mushrooms and green beans for most of us, then doing a mushroom plait with walnuts and courgettes for the veggies amongst us.

Don't have enough chairs so will be pulling the table up to the sofa and sitting some on cushions to reach their meals and children will be on the floor round the coffee table, so Mollie and Betty dogs will be well fed I think LOL

Re: What are you having for lunch/dinner?

Tonight we are going to have a 'chopped' salad, with chicken and some jersey royals. It is a case of 'everyone in the pool' when it comes to salads in our house. All the usual salad stuff, plus grated carrot, sweet corn kernels, grapes, teeny cheese dice, crunchy bacon bits, a quartered boiled egg each, some olives, oh you get the idea. Not a lot of each, just enough that each forkful is different, a sort of salad 'meusli'. lol

Was out at my Sister's 70th birthday 'bash' last evening - held in a carvery restaurant - beatiful food!!! - started off with a couple of Salmon steaks and some salad rice and peppers, then had a large slice of roast Pork, with an additional slice of Gammon and all the appropriate roast veg, yorkshire pud and gravy. 'Afters' was a fabulous Mango compot, so went back for second helpings of that - it was delicious.

later this morning will be doing my own roast (chicken), potatoes, Parsnips, Carrots & onions.

I'm sure I saw someone suggest a recipe thread, here is one started some time ago it has some nice stuff on it and we could now go on and add some new ideas. http://www.over50sforum.com/showthread.php?t=102
