Ha Ha Meg same here .
Have at last finished filling the raised beds .
I found some lovely soil by the side of the land ( it had been cleared out of a ditch ) so lugged it home to mix in with compost and give the worms something to get into .
When I plant what ever I plant I will put a layer of super compost on the top .
Can't believe how much stiff has gone into these .
Hope the veggies will be truly grateful .

Old is the face that stares back at me from the mirror.

Old is how I feel after today.

First day out for a while, still quite weak.

Seven hours looking after a 7 year old girl who was practising her gymnastics and an 8 year old Autistic boy.

Great Fun, but absolutely whacked.

Been shopping with a girlfriend today when we stopped to have coffee my friend said "do you remember when we could shop all day then get ready and go out in our purchases the same evening"...as we both sat there jiggered I replied "I can barely remember yesterday"

You have to laugh at getting old its much better than the alternative

What do I consider old? anyone at least 10 years older than me

I think I am blessed in knowing a 15 year old very smart young lady who just sees me as her mum`s boyfriend and an adult she can have a sensible conversation with.

A man is old when middle-aged women stop to let him walk by first if he's carrying something heavy, like a bag of crisps.

And he's old when pretty young girls at shops look him straight in the eye and give him big winning smiles.

And he's old when older women start checking him out.

Hope none of that ever happens to me!!
