Re: The art of texas holdum
My son is a great poker player - in fact he's the only gambler in the family. He plays for (fairly) serious money every Tuesday. I think it helps that he has a very logical mind (Physics graduate) and good maths. He funded his 'pocket money' through university by judicious playing of one-armed bandits. He's the only person I know who beats those things!Re: The art of texas holdum
Thanks for the replies.Re: The art of texas holdum
I'm not a gambler by temperament; the house always wins ultimately. I enjoy solitaire, but could never get into playing it on line: the rules are different from the ones I grew up with, and there is just something missing ... the tactile feel of the cards, I guess.Re: The art of texas holdum
A fact of life when retiring is you have a lot of time on your hands.
