Rain coats?

OH has said he needs a rain coat and I agree. We have the standard waterproofs for cycling but they are awful to walk in they chafe and make nasty swishing noises so you can hear yourself think and they are always clammy.

He suggested one 'like the Queen wears' yeah burberry at about 2000 quid so Ive been looking at alternatives and theres one by a company called Champion which is not expensive at all and has some good reviews but I wondered if anyone here has a tried and tested waterproof coat/mack that they would reccomend..

It has to be something I can order online and have sent over...

this is the style he likes..

Yes - mine's a Danimac. I've had it 25 years and it's the best thing I ever bought.

I can vouch that Champion are good. We used to sell that brand in our shop and customers had nothing but praise for it.

Have used it for years - it still looks good and is still waterproof.

Hard to go past Driza-bone for good rain wear.

Re: Rain coats?

Mines like the one pictured I just had a look at the label all I can make out is blurry blurry ion so I'm thinking it may be champion too. Mines about 12 years old looks a bit battered and has done miles and miles of dog walking and camping.

My husband has a similar one a real Burberry that I got at a car boot sale for £1 ! He's worn that the last 18 years and it wasn't new when he got it.

I can recommend both makers as they've done us proud.

The picture looks like Ned Kelly Cass, find out what happened to his mac, I don't think he will be needing it any more, as long as it's not full of bullet holes.......

Thanks I did a little looking around this morning and Ive ordered the champion..
I also bought him a baseball cap from waxed cotton so he doesnt have to use the hood which can lead to him not hearing me properly...

The delivery time is great too if its true they say 2-3 days which means we should be able to venture out in the rain without getting soaked by next weekend.
