Re: Over 50s Club Wales (part 5)

Morning all. Better here today. It was horrendous yesterday, wind and rain nonstop all day. Went to Aldi in Llandrindod (which was quite a treat, don't think there were more than 10 people in the shop, including Chris & I). Son and DIL were shuffling sheep and scanning all day (luckily in the barn after they'd sorted them into bunches). Took Chris over there to watch after lunch and then came home and started my new piece of cross-stitch.

Off to neighbours this evening to see the New Year in - and I'm having a lift, so will be able to have a drink or two!

Happy and healthy New Year to you all.

Re: Over 50s Club Wales (part 5)

We had thunder and lightening here just as I was going to bed last night , just one loud clap and gone again .
Nice sunny start so I met up with a friend for a glass of wine and the heavens opened . Eased off a bit so we did a runner to the car . Its not too bad now but the wind is up so I'm in for the night
Have a good one whatever you do xxxx

WHITE RABBITS to you all. Didn't get home until 1.15 am but am feeling surprisingly perky this morning! Just having my first cup of tea and wondering what to do today.............. Had a late Christmas present last night, a goody bag from Hotel Chocolat which looks delish. So much for the diet starting today......

Morning all. Another grey damp day. We did have frost on New Years Eve, but even that was all gone by morning. Not very seasonable weather is it?

Suppose I'd better start removing decorations today - and get the duster out! Of course, I can help the work with a few pieces of chocolate

Hate the beginnning of January, house looks so bare............

Re: Over 50s Club Wales (part 5)

Bore da from east Wales...
Drizzling here too!

I'm the same Sue, decorations come down and everywhere cleaned before I go back to work...No waiting for 12th night here! (unlike my superstitious mum!)
I actually don't mind the bareness as it makes me feel organised and I always have a few tealights burning just to lessen the effect
It's the thought if work I hate, getting up early for the first time in two weeks! Eeewww...
