Parents really don't think sometimes.
I went to school with a girl who's surname was Hoare. Her parents named her Henrietta.

Just like the Hunt family who named their son Michael!

But I did cop a bit of flack for naming one of my short-story characters "Archibald".
(It was published only in Japan).

Mike Hunt has got a ring to it. Not as bad as Mr & Mrs Smith calling their son JOHN.

Peregrine and Beauchamp both have a certain je ne sais quoi about them. I knew a chap with the latter name. Good chap, but fancy being called Beau

Beau (pronounced Bo) is quite a popular name for boy and girl babies at the moment!
I like it, as l only like unusual names! l don't like popular or run of the mill names!

I remember thinking "Summer" was weird the first time I heard it, but I quite like it now.
