Green ?

Our humax freesat box appears to be ailing, just wondered if anyone has any idea if it's wiring problems or the actual box.

The programmes keep going green, it's quite amusing sometimes, green hair green skin etc but at others annoying. If we switch off at the wall and switch back on it comes back right colour.

Additional problem we've lost BBC 1hd not a problem we don't watch hd but it has stopped us recording BBC 1 at all.

Actually as I write this down it does sound like the box doesn't it

Re: Green ?

Why do you think it's the box ?

Sounds like it could be the TV to me........just saying.

Re: Green ?

I don't think it's the tv because if we watch DVDs using the DVD box they are perfect.

It's only stuff viewed using the humax freesat box causing any problem.

Re: Green ?

I would be inclined to check the cables that plug into your TV, do you have a HDMI into your TV from your box, it might be that or one of the other cables, ( not the power cord) depends what you used to connect to the tv

Re: Green ?

Where is your freeview/freesat aerial?

Could it be loose, hanging off, or suffering from a bad connector.

Do you still get all the programs which you had before?

If it's a sat dish, are there some big trees in front of it now?

Or is it connected via a router?

It's a huge dish two blocks over from us, no trees near it and I wandered out to check it before posting as its been known to be the magpies poo stop before which caused all sorts of problems.

We get all the programmes and stations except bbc1 hd.

I had a chat with a couple of neighbours have freesat too and they aren't having any problems at all so I think dish is fine.
