Re: Idiots in Charge

Yet again, Juncker is saying that what Theresa May is offering as a basis to move on in negotiations "Is not satisfactory and is not enough to move on to trade talks".
He is like a ruddy parrot with the same old spiel.".

It is blatantly obvious that regardless of what the UK put on the table, The dictators of the EU are not interested. As far as they are concerned, they hold all the cards and are happy to hold out until the UK agree to each and every one of their disgraceful demands.

It really is time the UK stopped letting them slap us around the head as if we are an insignificant little country, and grew a pair. Oh, to have Nigel in there. By now he would have told them to get stuffed and walked. The big EU conglomerates who depend on trade with the UK would soon be singhing those arrogant tinpot dictators backsides to get us back to the table and start acting sensibly.

Where, oh where are the fighters for our side - such as Churchill or Maggie- when we need them?

Aside from that, pleased that the Irish Government one of the first big mouth governments to insist that we pay the huge amounts to the EU, (yes, the very same country that we bailed out in 2008) are now being fined millions, if not billions of Euro's by the EU Commission for acting a tax haven for businesses. Couldn't have happened to a nicer country. It doesn't pay to be a brown-nose to the EU.
Revenge is best served cold, Ireland!

Re: Idiots in Charge

Hi

I rather think the point is that have done their sums and want us to leave with no deal.

It is financially far better for the EU not to have a Trade Deal the UK.

Yes, they will pay more than the UK does in WTO Tariffs, but they take all our Services which are 75% of our exports to the EU.

This puts them several £ Billion better off, simply because of the Tax they will get from this.

They know this and their job is to look after the EU and get as much money as possible.

They have absolutely no interest in the UK and why should they come running?

They will make more money from a No Deal.

Re: Idiots in Charge

Whatever else people say about Thatcher at least she did not take us out of the EU. She went in there and got us a better deal. She gave us a voice around the table. Everyone since has been too timid to deal with them.

Re: Idiots in Charge

Michael Gove also said, if we are outside the European Union’s single market, we can improve animal welfare, supporting more humane methods of farming and restricting the live export of animals. These are policies I would support.

Many people have been campaigning for decades to ban the export of live animals for slaughter in other countries - this practice has reduced from U.K. but still continues and EU laws prevent us from banning it completely.
If we can celebrate our independence from EU by abolishing this cruel and unnecessary practice in UK, I will consider that Brexit has not been in vain.

If anyone wants to add their support, there's several options here:
