I think I'd try taking some stem tip cuttings from under a leaf joint, and popping them in a small glass of water after stripping the lower leaves off first. Or dipping the ends in some hormone rooting powder and putting them staight in some seed compost and putting a small polythene bag over them and see what happens. Perhaps try both methods and see which one works.
If that fails I would collect some seed heads as the flowers fade. Let the seeds dry out and sow them in Feb/March in some seed compost indoors.
If none of that works, I think I'd give up and buy some new plants next spring.
