Good evening everybody. Abbey that was a quick trip to Edinburgh. Myrtle enjoy your trip away. I met up with a friend the other day who comes from the Borders.

It's Melrose next Friday ... it's The Ridings" or whatever it's called next weekend but don't think we'll manage to see any of the celebrations.

Yes Jess it is .. it's on 1st July. There's something going on in Melrose on Friday evening ... a band playing I think ... but it's at 7 PM so I assume we'll be having dinner then so won't get to see it.

I'm planning on visiting Galashiels next Sunday (changing buses to go to Selkirk) and may stay for an hour or so to have a look around.

Hi everyone , lots of lovely sunshine here today . Been down to the village for coffee . Sat outside one of the pubs right at the front and watched the small boats going in and out . In among all the holiday folk we felt like we were on holiday too

Whoops !!! Predictive text ... not lively (but it may be ) but lovely.

I can appreciate what you're saying Abbey ... fantastic when the weather's good but can probably be bleak and harsh in winter like all coastal places.

Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)

Being on the west coast it can rain for what seems like weeks on end in the winter .
In the summer it can be very busy ( too busy sometimes ) as there are three caravan parks and loads of holiday houses and in winter it can seem a bit too quiet at times .

Good morning everybody, overcast here at the moment. Abbey know how you feel with all the visitors to the town, its the same here. We don't have caravans here but there are B&B's. Staying home today and doing some housework.
