I'm sure I've seen him strutting along the beach in Cyprus but his Speedos were in gold lame. His 'friend' was taking provocative pictures of him up against a tree.

Oh how times change.
When I was younger (a long long time ago) we wore those trunks and if anybody dared to wear those shorts of today down to their kneees would be laughed off the beach.
Why shouldn't men wear tight fitting swimming trunks.
After all they are so much better than those flappy shorts that look like cut down pyjama bottoms or the left overs of yer granny's curtains,and oh so much better than those mankini things that men wear as well.

It also gives the ladys something to look at and compare.
Why do you think I earned the nickname Longfellow..

I think a lot of men would agree that Speedos are more comfortable than shorts but they are just not cool any more Longfellow.

Unfortunately you still, see speedos around on males who should know better They look awful on most people over 10.

I am passed that age of looking cool if ever I did that is because there was never any intent on my part.

Plus there's always that moment when you jump in the pool and your shorts get air-trapped and blow up like a balloon.
