This is how the money was spent

The figures look correct big projects DO cost a lot in the planning stages.

Boris The Baffoon needs his balls chopping off.

Some idiots were even talking about him being the next PM.

Imagine how deep the debt would be in the UK with this guy in control.

Khan is not a favourite of mine but he as done the right thing here.

Re: Garden Bridge project scrapped

Hi

I liked Margaret Hodge, a Labour MP who was the Chair of the Public Accounts Committee, she never pulled her punches.

The sad thing is, money like this is being wasted every day.

When I was working one Council had Image Consultants in, the Politicians thought the ratepayers did not value them highly enough.

As well as paying the Consultants a mint, the vehicles had to be repainted in the new colours, a new logo used on buildings and vehicles and all Council Stationary.

There was Launch Day for this rebranding, a vibrant new forward looking customer focused Council.

The day before all pre printed paperwork had to be handed in and replaced with new stuff, at great cost.

None of the staff wanted this, a complete waste of money, but the Politicians did, so that was that.

So true Swimmy polititions don't seem to realise the cost of change in paperwork and new headings do they. That is of course if they don't have shares in printing factories.
Take the DLA paperwork for instance how much did that cost to change to PIP and add onto that the £100 million contract to foriegn companys like ATOS.
All that money paid out to stop some poor sod getting disabled benifits.

Singapore has the right idea, their gardens by the bay are simply gorgeous.
I wonder where the money came from to create them.
Are they for the people or are they elitist?

I wonder if they gave JL The inspiration...

Hi

Here you go Ruthio.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Parks_Board

A deliberate Government Policy, taxpayer funded.

Like so many other Countries, they are quite simply better organised and more efficient than us when it comes to Government.

They also have somewhat draconian laws to deal with the yobs.

It is a great place to be, an example of what can be done.
