I know just what you mean, exactly the same happens to me sometimes. It's all in my head, but I can't always convert it into words very well.

I don't dispute that we get to really like people on the forums and we are sad when they leave but after a few days, they go out of our mind.

Not sure I look at it in quite the same way as you do Art.I think I am probably a bit too sentimental.
A very long time ago someone here died, and he was one of my first 'friends.' It was so very sad, and his family let us know about his demise.
I have never removed him from my 'friends' list like he never existed.
It wouldn't seem right.
Anyhow neither is right or wrong, we only do what feels right for us.
