Re: When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life: Samuel Johnson
Last time I went to London was when I was taken on the London Eye for my 50th birthday treat 12 years ago. I would love to go and see the Science Museum and the Art Gallery though so I will try to pluck up the courage to go later in the year as I keep getting emails from Premier Inn and Travel Lodge about reduced price hotel rooms.Re: When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life: Samuel Johnson
I grew up in London. It was my playground and I loved it. The museums the galleries the shops markets and the parks . There was always something exciting going on.Re: When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life: Samuel Johnson
I used to visit London regularly when My Brother lived there, but They've moved to Cornwall now so haven't been for a few years...Last time I was there I got the feeling if I collapsed in the street Folk would just walk over or around Me...so thanks, but no thanks..no plans to visit ever again.Re: When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life: Samuel Johnson
I love London - especially the historical bits. I have to visit the bank where our Dog Rescue Charity has an account every couple of months and I always take the opportunity to explore different parts of "old" London. I'm not so keen on Londoners though (even though I live in West London, it doesn't "feel" like London). Much as I love to visit, I could never live in London or any city for that matter!
