Midwifery training.

As many of you know our Nathan is looking at training in midwifery, he's just had an offer from the nct to do one of their courses. He will get a really good training and they have a bursary scheme he is entitled to that will pay 75 percent of his fees !

I thought all bursarys had finished but seems that's only within NHS, so anyone with a youngster wanting a nursing or midwifery degree would be well advised to look outside the NHS for their training.

That's a great profession Julie. Obviously there are ups and downs but on the whole, brings so much joy to so many on a daily basis.

Yes, well done Nathan.

I'm more than proud I remember that angry little boy of 7 that stood on my doorstep, my sister had left her two boys here so she could go on holiday ! Him and his brother have been with us ever since and grown into such lovely young men. One in the army and one just about to set out on this big adventure of becoming a midwife.

Re: Midwifery training.

I hope all goes well for Nathan Julie, but I do wonder how becoming a male midwife fits with him being Muslim. I personally have never heard of a Muslim man becoming a midwife.
