Breaking the mould I'm quite proud he's able to be a liberal modern Muslim. There are many changes in the way younger Muslims are approaching today's problems. I even know two young people who are becoming vets, that's a huge change in how Muslims have traditionally been.Re: Midwifery training.

The number of male midwives is growing, but it's aways up to a woman to say if they aren't comfortable with a male. I don't think he'd want to impose himself on any woman that wasn't comfortable with him. It's not just Muslim women will have a problem with a male I would guess. But he can't be expected to give up on something he really wants to do just because some people won't like it.Re: Midwifery training.

He had a seminal moment on a bus when a lady gave birth in front of him, he said he didn't have first idea what to do but was just blown away by the amazing moment a little human popped out. That made him think about what he was doing and decide he wanted to help woman at that vulnerable time.
